Eden Esports has revealed the groups and schedule for the upcoming Champions Cup Finals.
The eight competing sides have been split into two double-elimination groups, featuring a best-of-three format after the initial round of matches.
Group A is headlined by two top 15 teams in FURIA and ENCE. Henrique "HEN1" Teles will return to action for FURIA after recently missing cs_summit 5, with the Brazilians set to face TYLOO, who could be playing their last event with Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand as reports continue to link the Indonesian star with a move to Gen.G. As for ENCE, the Finnish team will take on Movistar Riders, who finished top-six at DreamHack Open Sevilla last weekend.
G2 will be confident of their chances of success after being placed in a group with only one other top 30 team in Spirit. In their opening match in Malta, the cs_summit 5 runners-up will play BIG, who were sent packing in Sevilla in the group stage following three heart-breaking overtime losses.
The Champions Cup Finals will take place from December 19-22 at InterContinental Malta, in Saint Julian's, with $300,000 at stake. Earlier on Monday, Eden Esports announced the on-air team for the English broadcast, featuring the likes of Tres "stunna" Saranthus, Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez and Henry "HenryG" Greer.
